Pilonidal Sinus Surgery (Laser SiLaC, EPSiT & Flap Surgery)
Pilonidal sinus surgery is a safe, effective treatment for an infected tunnel or cyst located in the natal cleft at the top of the buttocks. Caused by loose hair burrowing into the skin, pilonidal sinus rarely resolves with medicines alone. Modern minimally invasive procedures—such as Laser SiLaC (Sinus Laser Closure) and EPSiT (Endoscopic Pilonidal Sinus Treatment)—cleanly eradicate the infected tract and embedded hair without large open wounds, delivering minimal pain and rapid recovery.

Symptoms and Signs of Pilonidal Sinus Disease
Pilonidal sinus often starts as a small, painless dimple or pit near the tailbone area. Once infected, it develops into a painful abscess or draining tract. The primary symptom is persistent or recurrent pain at the top of the buttock cleft, particularly when sitting or performing physical activity.
Patients frequently notice foul-smelling pus, watery fluid, or blood draining from tiny openings near the tailbone, soiling clothes and causing chronic localized skin irritation and redness.
If you experience severe swelling, warmth, intense throbbing pain, or a high fever, seek medical evaluation immediately to treat an acute pilonidal abscess.
